How to get to UK Biobank
UK Biobank’s mobile assessment centre is located in the Waterworld car park (postcode: LL13 8BG) close to Crown buildings (on Chester Street) with Wrexham police headquarters and law courts nearby. The assessment centre has been custom built for UK Biobank and will be recruiting people from the Wrexham area for a limited period only. It is fully accessible for people with disabilities, however should you require any further information or special assistance to attend, please contact UK Biobank on Freephone 0800 0 276 276.
By foot: we are a short walk from the centre of Wrexham. Pedestrians should head towards Chester Street and follow signs for the Waterworld car park.
By Bus: Wrexham bus station is located off King Street, in the centre of Wrexham and is a 10-15 minute walk from the UK Biobank assessment centre. By Train: Wrexham General railway station is located on Mold Road (a short distance from the town centre). Bus services in to the centre of Wrexham pick up and drop off at the railway station. By cycle: For information on cycling in and around the town centre, or a copy of the Wrexham Cycle Route Map, call the Highways Department on 01978 297167.
By car: Short and long stay parking is available in the Waterworld car park, offered on a first come first served basis. UK Biobank participants can claim reasonable travel expenses (including the parking fee) by picking up a travel expenses form as they leave the assessment centre.

From the North: Follow A483 towards Wrexham. Leave A483 at J6. At roundabout take 3rd exit onto the A5152. At next roundabout take the 3rd exit onto A5152 (Chester Road South). At next roundabout, take 2nd exit (straight on) onto Chester Street. Continue along Chester Street until reaching the entrance to the Waterworld car park, on your left-hand side. The Wrexham Library and Guildhall car parks should be visible on your right-hand side.
On arrival please report to the UK Biobank reception.
