Exploring Vascular Connections and the Impact of Air Pollution
Aims: Our research project seeks to dive deep into the vast network of vessels in our body – the vascular system, understanding how different parts are linked and how the air we breathe, particularly pollutants, can affect these links. We are also keen on finding out if there are genetic factors that play a role in how these vascular systems function and interact.
Scientific Rationale: The human body is an intricate system where every part is interconnected. The vascular system, which includes veins, arteries, and capillaries, is like a highway transporting essential nutrients to various parts. It’s crucial to understand how different sections of this “highway” are connected and how external factors, like air pollution, might affect the traffic.
