Cardiovascular diseases, such as heart failure, strokes, and arrhythmia, are a leading cause of health problems and death around the world. We are aiming to create tools combining different health information, including medical images, laboratory results, and genetics, to better guide physicians in the screening and management of those diseases. We plan to spend the next three years processing health information from hundreds of thousands of consenting individuals to develop our tools and validate them in diverse populations. The end goal is to give physicians new tools that can identify which patients might be heading for serious health problems. This could translate into more personalized care plans for patients with potentially improved outcomes and quality of life, while limiting unnecessary healthcare spending and adverse events related to medical interventions.
