We aim to explore the relationship between structural and functional connectivity and the molecular and vascular mechanisms to structural and functional alterations in depression. We plan to construct two-type brain networks based on neuroimaging data, including structural and functional networks, to examine the link between brain-wide gene expression and the network changes in individuals with depressive disorder. The duration of this project might be three years. We hope that our findings cold link molecular and network (e.g., structural and functional) changes and vascular risks relevant for depressive disorder to help us understand the mechanisms of the depression.
