Women who function better at the start of the day have a lower risk of breast cancer, researchers using UK Biobank data have concluded. They looked at data from 180,000 women participants and 228,000 enrolled in study run by the international Breast Cancer Association Consortium. The study also found some evidence for a causal link between sleeping for longer and breast cancer. The scientists now want to find out how the clear observation might cause the increase in disease.
