Brain MRI is a non-invasive measurement technique that gives us insight into age-related changes in the function, structure and connectivity of the brain. Longitudinal measures will increase sensitivity to subtle changes with aging, and allow us to detect changes that occur before or during neurodegenerative processes. In this project, we will develop methods to take advantage of this new data source, and use this to understand genetic and environmental factors that predispose individuals to disease. We will use this to get insight into the mechanism of aging-related disease.
