We aim to explore the gene-environment interaction in progression of chronic multimorbidity such as cardiovascular, respiratory diseases, lipid metabolic, and bone metabolic diseases among participants in the UK biobank, including lifestyle, environmental, biomarkers, and genomic factors. Most observational studies always explored solely or interaction of factors in the progression of chronic diseases, and do not always provide evidence risk factors for patients with multimorbidity. Due to the considerable patients with multimorbidity, and supporting health care providers in daily practice, fully considering the associations between gene-environmental factors and multimorbidity are warranted. The intended duration of the project is 36 months. The results of the project will provide evidence for health professionals to strike a balance between the various disease-specific factors, and develop tailor-made, and feasible recommendations, taking the patient’s personal abilities into account.
