Lay summary
The goal of this project is to develop algorithms for predicting individuals' risks of disease using a combination of their genomes, health records, and lifestyle. Such algorithms would help physicians to identify a patient's risk of disease earlier and identify medications or lifestyle changes that are best suited for the patient. This work would advance the fields of precision medicine, personalized healthcare, and digital health. In addition, this work may enable patients to be more proactive about their health using their own personal traits and lifestyles to guide decision making regarding medications and changes to their lifestyle for improving their health.
