Lay summary
A high potassium diet may increased the risk of incident chronic kidney disease (CKD). However, their genetic background is unknown.
This study aimed to evaluate the genetic background regarding the association between dietary potassium load and kidney function decline among general population.
This study will be held 12 months and study findings may suggest that dietary modification may prevent CKD development in healthy adults, and can be implemented as a cost-effective and risk-lowering strategy.
