Health management of adults: identifying the risk factors of chronic diseases early.
Lay summary
Support for health management is a critical need among adults with complex chronic conditions. A growing amount of evidence demonstrates that analysis of the causes of poor health - especially the connection between risk factors and the development of poor health - can provide insights into opportunities and priorities for prevention, research, policy, and development. Early identification of risk factors has become paramount in managing chronic diseases, and it is hoped that it will allow earlier access to interventions that may improve the condition's natural history. We aim to evaluate the impact of various external factors, including living environment, family environment, lifestyle, behavioral psychology, metabolites, genes, etc., on obesity, metabolic diseases, cardiovascular diseases, tumors, infections, and other chronic diseases in adults.
The study will involve 500000 subjects, which is intended to analyze the database based on the UK bank. We hope to target the adult's life management and see how external factors play a role in the development of the disease. Investigating the underlying relationship and mechanism and finding a better strategy for prevention and treatment is of great significance. The project is expected to benefit public health interests and save medical costs. The project duration is three years. The project is helpful in the prevention of chronic diseases in adults.
