Pathway analysis and molecular target prediction of cardiovascular diseases
Lay summary
Due to the high mortality rate of cardiovascular diseases such as aortic dissection, atrial fibrillation, and valvular heart disease, it is very important to identify cardiovascular diseases such as aortic dissection and atrial fibrillation early in clinical practice. However, there is currently a lack of effective early identification indicators. We will construct a cohort to screen the blood metabolism, protein and other indicators of the above-mentioned related cardiovascular diseases, and conduct joint analysis with the UKB cohort to find effective early warning indicators of metabolic proteins across races.
At the same time, there may be differences in genomic information among different races, so some high-risk cardiovascular disease patients can be identified early in life by combining different races.
Therefore, we plan to use UKB's proteomics, metabolomics, whole exome and genomics and clinical data, combined with the Asian multi-omics cohort we constructed, to conduct a joint analysis to find that cardiovascular disease (aortic dissection, etc.), and finally use our cohort to further verify whether the above risk indicators can be used for early clinical identification of diseases.
