Prediction of prostate cancer risk with genomics, environmental factors and deep learning
Lay summary
Prostate cancer is a complex disease arising from the interaction of environmental and genetic factors, much "missing heritability" remain to be explored. In the next three years, we will identify novel susceptibility variants and investigate the role of gene-environmental interaction in the prostate cancer. Furthermore, deep learning method will be used to generate predictive models, which include laboratory markers, imaging data and other examinations. We believe that our study will provide important clues for susceptibility mechanisms, screening of high-risk population and individualized prevention of prostate cancer.
