Lay summary

Understanding genetic predisposition is important in learning more about promoting health and preventing disease. In this project, we aim to investigate the role of variation in the regions of the genome that regulate well-known cancer genes. Over the next year and a half, we will compare genomic data of healthy participants with that of cancer patients looking for inherited variation that might have predisposed patients to cancer.
