Major diseases (cancer, rheumatoid arthritis, diabetes, etc.) or phenotypes (height, weight, etc.) have complex factors, such as genetic factors (such as DNA sequence variation) and environmental factors (smoking, drinking, lifestyle habits, etc.). Although some genetic factors (genetic variation) have been found to affect the occurrence and development of diseases, there is still a long way to go before we understand the mechanism of diseases. However, the disease is not determined by a single factor. It may be the joint action of multiple genetic variations (each genetic variation plays a weak role), or the interaction between genetic variation and environmental factors under the action of natural selection. These complex interactions are still not clearly identified. Our project aims to identify complex interactions between genes, environment and phenotypes. We hope to identify some interactive markers, explain some pathogenesis, and interpret the reasons for the different drug sensitivity of some individuals. We will take 3-5 years to analyze the interaction between gene, environment and phenotype. The successful completion of our project will increase the public's understanding of the role of genetic factors in human health and diseases, and facilitate the development of disease prevention, diagnosis and treatment methods. Improve human health, anticipate and avoid the potential harm of disease.
