Anya Topiwala is a Senior Clinical Researcher and a Consultant Psychiatrist. She uses population brain imaging to study the impact of risk and resilience factors on psychiatric and cognitive disorders of later life. A particular focus is on alcohol consumption, which is widespread and modifiable. In 2019 she was awarded a Wellcome Trust Clinical Research Development Fellowship to study the effect of alcohol consumption on brain health.
