Our research project’s primary aim is to utilize advanced artificial intelligence (AI) techniques to study healthy brains and detect anomalies that indicator brain disease. We will train AI models to understand what a typical healthy brain looks like. These models will serve as a benchmark for normal brain structure and function.Utilizing the AI models, we aim to identify subtle changes in brain images that could be early signs of conditions like dementia, brain cancer, and other brain-related disorders. We seek to minimize the impact of external factors to ensure our results are specifically related to brain health.
Our research project is grounded in the latest advancements in AI and the vast dataset provided by the UK Biobank. These elements enable us to significantly advance our understanding of brain health and enhance early disease detection.
Completing our research will require about three years as we undertake the development and testing of our AI models on the extensive dataset.
Our project has the potential to make a substantial impact on brain health. By identifying issues early and offering personalized guidance, we can enhance the lives of many individuals. This research has the potential to lead to better health, more effective treatments, and a reduced burden on healthcare systems, marking a significant step forward in the field of brain health and overall well-being.
