This project aims to explore the multifaceted relationships between lifestyle, dietary habits, treatment approaches, genetic susceptibility, endocrine biomarkers, and plasma metabolites with the incidence, progression, and outcomes of diabetes and its complications. Specific objectives include:
1. Understanding risk factors influencing diabetes onset through comprehensive analysis of plasma metabolites, lifestyle factors, and genetic predisposition.
2. Evaluating the role of these variables in predicting prognosis, survival outcomes, and the development of complications among diabetes patients.
3. Translating findings into practical strategies for prevention and disease management.
Using UK Biobank’s extensive dataset, this research will employ advanced statistical and machine learning approaches to assess individual and interactive effects, focusing on personalized and public health interventions.
