At Alchemab Therapeutics, we have developed a platform that simultaneously identifies both novel drug targets and therapeutic antibodies to these targets by studying individuals with exceptional resilience to disease. Our approach leverages advanced computational biology, machine learning, and large-scale human datasets to uncover protective molecular mechanisms driving disease resilience. Once targets are discovered, it is crucial to gather complementary evidence linking these targets to disease before translating the research to the clinic. For this project, we will use UK Biobank data to contribute to the validation and prioritization of the drug targets emerging from our platform. Specifically, we aim to:
1. Correlate Genetic and Phenotypic Associations – Investigate the genetic variants linked to our candidate targets and pathways in relation to different disease and phenotypic groups in the UK Biobank.
2. Assess Disease-Target links – Use biomarker data to understand how identified targets are expressed in the context of disease and influence disease biology.
3. Analyze Biomarker Profiles – Analyze biomarker and multi-omic datasets in the context of disease and phenotypic groups to help patient stratification and clinical trial design.

Use of the UK Biobank data will help to validate novel drug targets, and enhance our ability to develop therapeutics that mimic natural resilience, offering new treatment avenues for diseases with high unmet need.
