This research project will evaluate independent, mediators, interactions, and associations between socioeconomic status with Life’s Essential 8 scores (LE8) and genetic predisposition through Polygenic Risk Scores on the risk of cardiovascular related outcomes and all-cause mortality. The purpose of this study is to analyze the mediating effect of socioeconomic status and LE8 for optimal cardiovascular health and associations between Life’s Essential 8 scores with SES and polygenic risk scores to determine risk of cardiovascular related events. The public health impact of this study will help determine which SES groups are most at risk for cardiovascular related events based on income, education, and residence. This study will help address gaps in between SES status and achieving optimal cardiovascular health to prevent cardiovascular related events and/or death.
