The UK Biobank is a big study that looks at how our genes and the things around us, like what we eat and drink, our lifestyle, and the air we breathe, can affect our health. People have done many studies looking at how our genes affect our health, but they haven’t used all the information about the things around us that can also impact our health. So, we want to do a study to find out more about how the environmental factors around us affect our health. We will use the information from the UK Biobank to do this study. We will look at many things that affect our health and study how they are connected to complex human diseases like cancer. This study will show if it’s possible to use the information from the UK Biobank to learn more about how the environmental factors around us affect our health. The expected duration of this project is 3 years. This could lead to important new findings in environmental health and preventive medicine.
