In summary, the primary purpose of this study is to determine a variety of the risk factors with adult respiratory disease in a European and Asian population. This research would be the first study to comprehensively investigate ethnic differences and has the potential to provide strong evidence that different ethnic and genetic backgrounds and the prevalence of certain risk factors contribute differently to asthma risk and lung function decline in real-world practice. These findings could suggest that strategies for preserving lung function and preventing asthma should be customized for various racial and geographic populations. This study would last for about 36 months (3 years).
