The aims of this project are (1) to find what factors influence treatment response in depression, and (2) to know what happens in the brain between patients with and without treatment response.
Precision medicine is a promising management strategy to enhance the treatment for complex diseases, such as major depressive disorder (MDD) by considering as much as possible factors. This study is designed to detect possible influential factors on the treatment response in depressive patients. Those identified factors will be useful for developing personalized protocol to treat MDD. In addition, by analyzing brain MRI data, we are able to know what happens in the brain reaction to treatment effect.
This project will be useful to better understand depression and will be helpful in future management for depression.
