Our research aims to explore how problems in the central nervous system might be connected to heart, blood vessel and lungs issues (known as cardiopulmonary diseases). We want to find out more about how these conditions are related and why they happen.

We believe that by looking at a large group of people’s health information, we can find patterns that help us understand these connections better. We’ll use a big database called the UK Biobank, which has lots of details about people’s health, habits, and even their genes.

We plan to spend a few years on this research. It’s a big project that needs time to go through all the information carefully and make sure our findings are reliable.

If we can figure out how these health problems are connected, it could help doctors find better ways to prevent and treat them. This might include new tests to find these diseases early or new treatments to help people feel better. In the end, our work could improve the lives of many people who have these health issues and reduce the burden on hospitals and healthcare systems.
