Chronic diseases are currently the leading cause of death, constituting a growing health and social burden. Preventable risk factors such as smoking, physical inactivity, alcohol use, dietary habits and other social, cultural and environmental factors all contributed to the diseases development. Preventing chronic diseases relies on comprehensive understanding of the relationship between different factors and chronic diseases and targeting the right population. We aim to develop efficient strategies by evaluating the associations between different exposures and chronic diseases and establishing risk estimation models. Our project is expected to last 36 months, and the findings of our research will provide evidence for chronic diseases prevention, and as a result, promote public health.
