Our research project aims to develop a model to identify people who have a higher risk of developing certain chronic diseases. Complex diseases will be investigated in our project including type 2 diabetes and Alzheimer’s diseases.
Also, our research aims to understand the underlying causes of diabetes and Alzheimer’s diseases, identifying ways to prevent diabetes and Alzheimer’s diseases. For example, to identify the role of physical activity in influencing the association between genes and chronic diseases.
This project might last for three years or longer.
Our research can help policymakers and health professionals in developing optimal health promotion strategies.
