This project aims to improve cardiovascular health through stratification, by development and validation of calculators and engines for eight highly interrelated chronic diseases: coronary artery disease, sudden cardiac arrest, type 2 diabetes, hypertension, deep vein thrombosis, atrial fibrillation, abdominal aortic aneurysm and stroke. Our research aims to improve cardiovascular health and outcomes, i.e. meets the stated purpose of UK Biobank (‘health-related research in the public interest’). Precision Wellness aims to implement an advanced analytic solution for management of cardiovascular health in the population. Using Precision Wellness services, governments, healthcare providers and payers can improve their clinical and financial outcomes by developing strategies for optimal resource utilization to manage the cardiovascular health of their populations.

Precision Wellness takes a comprehensive approach to cardiovascular health by assessing the risk of ten highly interrelated chronic diseases: coronary artery disease, sudden cardiac arrest, type 2 diabetes, hypertension, deep vein thrombosis, atrial fibrillation, abdominal aortic aneurysm , peripheral arterial disease, congestive heart failure (amongst those with history of CAD), and stroke.
