Aims: To study the risk factors of autoimmune thyroid disease(AITD) as well as the interaction between these risk factors in the pathogenesis of AITD.
Scientific rationale: As we known, genetic factors and environment factors contributed to etiology of AITD. However, which is more important and the interaction between genetic and environment factors are still largely unknown.
Project duration: three years.
Public health impact: We could better understand the etiology of AITD. Furthermore, subjects with genetic susceptibility should be carefully evaluated to avoid possible environment factors.
