1. Research questions
Core question:
How do proteomics, metabolomics and socio-environmental factors influence the occurrence and prognosis of liver disease and liver disease-related metabolic disorders?

Specific question:
Which proteomic and metabolomic features are associated with the risk of developing liver disease and liver disease-related metabolic disorders?
Which socio-environmental factors (e.g., socioeconomic status, lifestyle, environmental pollution, etc.) are associated with the occurrence and prognosis of liver disease and liver disease-related metabolic disorders?
Are there interactions between proteomics, metabolomics and socio-environmental factors that jointly influence the occurrence and prognosis of liver disease and liver disease-related metabolic disorders?
Can risk prediction models for liver disease and liver disease-related metabolic disorders be constructed based on multi-omics data and socio-environmental factors?

2. Research objectives
To reveal the role mechanisms of proteomics, metabolomics and socio-environmental factors in the occurrence and prognosis of liver disease and liver disease-related metabolic diseases.

3. Scientific basis
Liver diseases and liver disease-related metabolic diseases are important health problems globally, and their morbidity and mortality rates are increasing year by year, which brings a heavy burden to the society and economy.
Proteomics and metabolomics can comprehensively reflect the molecular state of an organism and reveal the molecular mechanisms of disease development. It has been shown that specific proteins and metabolites are closely related to the occurrence and prognosis of liver and metabolic diseases.
Socio-environmental factors have been shown to be important risk factors for liver and metabolic diseases. Socio-environmental factors may indirectly influence the development and prognosis of the disease by affecting the biological status of the individual.
