We aim to clarify the causal relationship between HBV/HCV co-infections and the occurrence and development of cirrhosis and HCC, thus providing data support for their prevention and treatment. Multi-omics studies conducted within the framework of large prospective cohorts and biobanks have become a critical approach to exploring the complex, dynamic, and interacting mechanisms underlying the pathogenesis, progression, metastasis, and treatment of liver diseases. This four-year project will serve as a reference for precise prevention, screening, diagnosis, and treatment strategies for cirrhosis and HCC. It aims to reduce the incidence and mortality rates of cirrhosis and HCC, thereby alleviating the national burden and contributing to the enhancement of public health in China and globally.
