This project aims to build a website that gives the UK public information on how to measure resting heart rate, then collects their resting heart rate measurement along with some information on lifestyle, and uses the data to build an interactive map of resting heart rate in the UK. The UK Biobank data will be used to populate the map so it is more attractive to the public to contribute with up-to-date data. This map will present information on UK heart rate in an understandable way that makes it possible for patterns and hotspots to be easily identified, so interventions can be implemented to improve the population resting heart rate, and so reduce the incidence of heart and circulatory diseases and the subsequent burden on the economy.
