The primary goal of this project is to better understand brain aging and the use of brain age as a biomarker to support early detection of neurological diseases including Alzheimer’s disease. Advanced computational techniques will be developed to understand how aging and disease change the brain and how each person differs from one another. The knowledge and methodology gained from this study will improve disease diagnosis and prognosis, eventually improve patient care.
