The purpose of the research is to examine micronutrient status of the participants in the UK Biobank and link these data to outcomes related to the following variables: sleep, stress, anxiety, depression, cognition and immunity.
Following access to the UK biobank database, we plan to review and assess the scope of data available from this database. We will evaluate how the available data could be used to examine micronutrient status and will review the database to assess if data are available for outcomes relevant to sleep, stress, anxiety, depression, cognition, and immunity. We aim to link micronutrient status with these health outcomes in the database, and to analyse statistical associations between these parameters. We will then write a summary report on our findings and aim to submit the findings in a peer-reviewed scientific journal.
We anticipate the project will take up to 18 months from access of the data.
This research will be valuable to anyone interested in the field of nutrition and the links between diet and disease. It will facilitate future research into nutrient status and the links with these health outcomes.
