Newcastle Railway Station is approximately 2 miles away and is around 10 minutes by car or a 32 minute walk.

Quaylink Q3 service to Wallsend runs from Newcastle Newgate Street. Alight at Walker Road/St Lawrence Square stop (journey time of 15 minutes). We are a 3 minute walk from the bus stop. Walk in the same direction of travel as the bus, but turn right onto Lawrence Road. Turn left onto Hawick Crescent and the centre will be on your left.

Approaching from A1 North:

Leave the A1 at junction 77 for Jedburgh A696/City Centre A167. At Kenton Bar roundabout, take the 1st exit onto Ponteland Road/A167 for City Centre. At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit and stay on Ponteland/A167. Go through two roundabouts and continue to follow the A167. Continue onto the A167(M) for City Centre East & South. Take the A186 exit for Walker/City Centre (South). At the roundabout, take the 1st exit for Walker A186. Continue to follow A186, then turn right onto Pandon Bank/A186 for Quayside parking. Turn left onto City Road/Pilgrim Street/A186 for Riverside Route, Walker, Wallsend.

At the traffic lights, turn left onto City Road/A186. Continue, passing Barclays offices on your right and a Premier Inn and Hotel du Vin on your left. Continue along Walker Road until turning right into Hawick Trading Estate. Follow the road for around 100 yards and turn left onto Hawick Crescent. UK Biobank is the first unit on the left.

Approaching from the A1(M) South:

Leave the A1(M) at junction 66 for Gateshead (South) A167. At the roundabout, take the third exit onto the A167. Continue on the A167 following signs for Newcastle. Cross the Tyne Bridge, keeping in the left-hand lane and take the exit signposted City Centre (South, Walker, A186 immediately at the end of the bridge. Keep right, go all the way around the roundabout and take the fourth exit for Quayside, Walker, A186. You should see Cuthbert House directly in front of you, make sure to turn left here and continue to follow the A186.

Turn right onto Pandon Bank/A186 for Quayside parking. Turn left to City Road/Pilgrim Street/A186 for Riverside Route/Walker/Wallsend. At the traffic lights, turn left onto City Road. Continue as you pass Barclays on your right and Premier Inn on your left. Go straight at the next traffic lights before turning right in 200m onto Hawick Trading Estate. Soon after, turn left into Hawick Crescent, finding UK Biobank on the left.
