Directions

By foot

The King’s Fund is located on the southwest corner of Cavendish Square. If you are walking from Oxford Circus:

  1. Head north up Regent Street.
  2. Turn left onto Margaret Street.
  3. Turn right into Cavendish Square. The entrance is a prominent period building located between Harley Street and Dean’s Mews.

By bus

Being in the heart of the West End, the office is served by a vast number of bus routes.

  • Oxford Street stops: Routes 6, 7, 10, 13, 23, 25, 55, 73, 94, 98, 137, 139, 159, 189, 390, 453, and C2 all stop within a 3–5 minute walk.
  • Regent Street stops: Routes 88, 453, and C2 stop at the Margaret Street/Oxford Circus end of the square.

By rail

The office is perfectly positioned near several major London Underground stations:

  • Oxford Circus (Central, Bakerloo, and Victoria lines): A 5-minute walk.
  • Bond Street (Central, Jubilee, and Elizabeth lines): A 7-minute walk. The Elizabeth Line provides rapid access if you are travelling from Reading, Heathrow, or Abbey Wood.
  • National Rail: For those arriving via mainline rail, the office is a short tube or bus ride from Marylebone.

Cycling

There are several Santander Cycles docking stations located directly on Cavendish Square. If you are using your own bicycle, there are public cycle racks available in the square. Please note that for security reasons, bicycles cannot be taken inside the building or stored in the courtyard.

By car

SatNav: use postcode W1G 0AN.

  • Access is via Wigmore Street or Mortimer Street, turning into Cavendish Square.
  • Please be aware that the office is located within the London Congestion Charge and Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ).

Parking: On-street parking is extremely limited and expensive. The nearest secure car park is the Q-Park Oxford Street, located directly underneath Cavendish Square. We strongly recommend that candidates use public transport where possible.
